About MKCS

Mount Kelly Choral Society is a SATB community choir based in Tavistock. We are dedicated to fostering talent, harmony, and friendship through our shared enjoyment of singing and performance.
MKCS was founded in 1976 by the Reverend Anthony Curry, Director of Music at Tavistock's Kelly College. His ambition was to establish in Tavistock a mixed choir that could perform major choral works for pleasure.

The Choir maintains close ties with the college, now known internationally as Mount Kelly, and often features students performing in lead roles.

Dan Robson
Musical Director for MKCS Director of Music at Mount Kelly.

Dan is an accomplished conductor, musician and performer.

He has conducted grand performances of choral and orchestral works, performed as a baritone soloist, plays the trumpet and the piano.

Dan has introduced many fine musical students from Mount Kelly to the choir to perform in solo roles.

Most importantly, he has the patience of a saint when explaining the finer points of musical interpretation to the choir!
